William 1 Butler

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, January 7, for William A.Butler, who died Monday, January 5, at his home in Woodville, from Geest Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. S. Felton Carter, pastor of the Woodville Baptist church, of which the deceased was a devoted member, assisted by Rev. A. Paul Thompson and Rev. Warren Corbin, conducted the services, with interment in the family section, of the Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. Several songs were Tendered by the church choir with Mrs. Barber at the organ.

Mr. Butler, 86 years of age, was the son of the late Russell Butler and the late Mrs. Margaret Fincham of Rappahannock County.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Fincham Butler of Woodville; two daughters, Mrs. Ellis Jenknis of Wrodville and Mrs. Simon Jenkins of Fairfax; one son, William T. Butler, of Brandy; seventeen grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Willie Dulaney, J. E. Orange, Burton Orange, Maurice O’Bannon, Charlie Estes, J. D. Fincham, Ned Johnson and W. N. Ragsdale. Grandchildren of the deceased served in carrying the profusion of beautiful floral tributes.

Eunice Vera Woodward

FuAeral services were held from the Amissville Baptist church on Tuesday, January 6, for Miss Eunice Vera Woodward, of Amissville, who died at the home of Mrs. James Gaunt in Sperryville, after an illness of several years. Rev. Harold Carder conducted the services with interment in the church cemetery.

Miss Woodward, 55 years of age, was the daughter of the late James Frazier and the late Mrs. Mary Frazier, his wife, of Rappahannock.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Corbin of Amissville and Mrs. James M. Jenkins of Korea.

Active^ pallbearers were Glen Jenkins, Milton Jenkins, Russell Burke, A. C. Corbin Jr., Russell Corbin, Frank Coppage, El wood Clatterbuck and John Jenkins.

Friends and relatives attending the services served as honorary pallbearers.
