Mrs. Alberta Menefee
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Alberta Menefee, who died January 8 in the home of her sonin-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Pullen of Flint Hill,Saturday, January 10 from the Sperryville Baptist church, with Rev. A. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment was in the family section of the Sperryville cemetery.
Mrs. Menefee, 83 years of age, is survived by a son, Floyd Menefee of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. June Corbin of Woodville and Mrs. Bennie Pullen of Flint Hill; fourteen grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Menefee was the daughter of the' late Henry Atkins and Ann Pullen Atkins of Sperryville. Active pallbearers were Robert Pullen, Cleveland Menefee, Odie Atkins, Richard hfenefee, Joe Beard, and Lewis Atkins. The flowers were carried by her granddaughters and neices.
