The General Business Class of Rappahannock County High School, under the direction of Miss Dorothy Bland, motored to Charlottesyille on March 11, to visit the State Farm Mutual. Insurance Co. The class has been studying insurance for the past six weeks. The building is one of the most modern in this section. The class first listened to lectures by various insurance. men, such as the president, the underwriter. Refreshments were served and the class then toured the building—seeing the machines in operation, and everyone at work. The process was mass production..
After the visit to the Insurance Co., the students had lunch at Howard Johnsons. They also visited the grounds of the University of Virginia.
The business class is very proud at this time, because they were so highly complimented on their quiet, businesslike manner. This class wants the public to know that they really are becoming business people.
