Chief Petty Officer Gid S. Jenkins motored to the U. S. Naval Training Center, Bainbridge, Maryland Saturday where he will be stationed for sometime. He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Jenkins, Miss Joyce Spicer and Miss Louise Cloud. On Iheir return home they were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jenkins and family and Miss Christine Jenkins of Falls Church. _
A/c Carroll Menefee Jr. left on Wednesday for Base Malden, Mo., after spending three days with his mother, Mrs. Franky Menefee.
Mr. and Mrs F. D. Coffey Jr. were guests on Sunday of Mr. arid Mrs. Robert Nethers at Flint Hill. They also visited Miss Mary Kay Fincham in the afternoon.
Mrs. Franky Menefee had as her guests for the Races on Saturday, Mrs. Franky Taliafero and daughter, Miss Sarah Taliafero of Rapidan, Mrs. Lizzie Durant and Mrs. F. W. Bennett of Culpeper.
Elder J. Harvey Daily was notified on Sunday morning by Elder Leonard Doni of Washington, D. C. of the sudden death of his father, Elder Corvin Doni in Newark, Ohio. The many friends of the deceased here will be sorry to hear of his pasing. Minor Lewis of Washington, D. C. was a week end guest in the home of Mrs. Carroll Menefee.
