T/Sgt. Charles R. Lewis, who has been stationed in Greenland for some time, and Mrs. Lewis, who has been spending some time daring his absence in San Antonio, Texas, have arrived at the home of Mrs. Virginia Lewis for a visit On Sunday Mrs. Lewis, her house guests, Miss Ruth Menefee and Buck Lewie were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hudson in Luray.

Mr. and Mrs. Jade Brown of Hamilton were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown at “Reek Villa.” They also attended the Point-to-Point Races at Leeway Farm on Saturday. Mrs. Thornhill was a guest of Miss Lucy Yowell in the F. T. Valley Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow of Culpeper spent several days last week with Mrs. E. W. Gore and family at “Barlow.” On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Smith of Gainesville were guests of Mrs. Helen Bruce.

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood spent Thursday in Charlottesville. Mr. and Mrs. Wood had as their dinner guest on Wednesday evening, Jim Massie of Washington.

Mrs. Joe H. Aylor and son, Joe who spent several days at the Lee Highway Hotel with her mother, Mrs. C. H. Howard, returned to her home in Arlington with Mr. Aylor, who came for a week end visit with his family. Joyce Nethers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers, has returned to her home after undergoing an appendix operation in the Warren Memorial hospital. She is recovering satisfactorily.
