High style cotton is being created into many new and varied roles. Examples are the Everglaze or taffetired finish which Imports spot, soil and wrinkle resistance and sta^ized shrinkage. Sanforized on the label means that shrinkage has been reduced to a minimum of not more than 2%. This guarantees that the fabric will not shrink more than 1 inch per yard when washed. This is an important factor when buying any textile merchandise. Merchandized gives added strength and lustre to * cotton fabrics. Many new finishes are appearing on the market <and also a wide variety in blends of fibers. This calls for the consumer to read the labels before buying either yard goods or ready made garments.
