Culpeper Newspapers Merge

The two weekly papers of Culpeper will merge into one issue beginning the first Thursday in April, .according to statements made in the two newspaper offices early this week.

The Culpeper Exponent, established, m 1881 and owned and operated by three generations of the Green family, was leased last summer by owners, John Buckner Green and Mrs# Anne Green Strother, to Virginia Publishing, Inc., of Warrenton, with G. Thornton Walker as editor. The Virginia Star, established in 1919 by Rufus G. Roberts, present owner, was leased two years ago to a Martinsville publishing company, with Walter Potter as editor.

Plans at present state that the two papers will merge into a single publication the first week in April. “Culpeper Star-Exponent” has been a named supposed, but no announcement has been made as to the name to be given the combined newspapers.

Royal Dairy Announces

Milk Route Plans

(Royal Dairy, of Front Royal, has announced that beginning soon they will have every-other-day delivery of milk in Rappahannock county, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. At present the milk devilery of this dairy is daily, because of service to tae schools. Albert Russell, manager, has announced these plans in order to let the people of Rappahannock know the days they can get home delivery of milk and dairy products.
