Beaut; In the Beast
’Twas a beautiful show the firemen put on—“Night Court Revue.’ It makes no difference how much people tell you the men looked awful (they did), nor how often remarks are passed an the firemen dressed *s dancing girls, the beauty of that show was the co-operation of the three fire companies in the county. Amissville and Sperryville firemen helped the Rappahannock Fire Company at Washington make some money.
Its hard to tell a friend how much you appreciate their helping you. If you use words strong enough, it often sounds “gushy,’ and that’s not what you mean. The firemen of Washington and Flint iHill appreciate tho help from their neighbors, and in order to let them know how much, they are awaiting an opportunity to repay them with similar help- «
The show was a success, undeniably. Unsuspected talents bloomed forth in abundance. No one would think that a fireman could, don ruffled drawers and inform the world in song that he is “just a little petunia in an onion patch.’ It was truly amazing to see a 6-foot.plus “can-can” girl. The firemen put on a show—and they didnt spare the punches. If they can fight fire as well, then we should petition the insurance company to lower our rates.
