J Guests over the week end of Mrs. S. G. Bruce, who is still confined to her room by sciatica in the home o£ her daughter, Mrs. C. E. Brown, were Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Bruce, Robert Bruce, Mrs. Haywood Griffith and her daughter, Linda of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Russell E. Jones and three children of Winchester.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin of Martinsburg, West Virginia were the week-end guests of their mother, Mrs. Annie M. Welch.
Week-end guests of Mrs. O. B. Swindler were her son and daughterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Russell B. Swindler, their son and daughter, Bob and Linda Swindler and Miss Barbara Swindler of Brentwood, Md. Additional supper guests of Mrs. Swindler on Saturday evening were Mr.'and Mrs. Lee Swindler and their sons, Jimmie and Bill Swindler.
Dinner guests on Sunday of Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily were Elder T. J. Major of Hyattsville, Maryland, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Maddox and daughter, Joyce of Washington, D.C., Mr. and Mrs. William H. Yates of Radford, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Yates and two small daughters, Janet and Lois Yates. On Monday Elder and Mrs. Daily, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Yates motored to Luray where they were dinner guests of Mrs. I. N. Doval and Mrs. Leo Doval.
Mrs. Ida Lillard, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brubaker of Luray attended services at Thornton’s Gap Primitive Baptist church.
Mrs. C. W. Ewing returned to her home in Harrisonburg Sunday after spending a few days with her sister, Miss Louise C. Schwartz. On Friday afternoon Mrs. Ewing and Mbs Schwartz were in Front Royal.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Coffey and W. N. Rector visited Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rector in Conde Saturday afternoon. Mr. Rector was an overnight guest of his brother and sister.
