Six New Members Six new members were admitted to the Amissville. Volunteer Fire Dpartment at its special meeting April 7. The were Reed T. Burpe, Milton iL Dodson, E. Victor Julius, Manuel ▼ J. Pullen, Hamilton B. Scott and U Everett R. Smith. The six were the first results of a l yirive for increasing department memership.

jp*o that we will more completely i represent the entire area. These six rnew members raise the number to 38. "We ought to have at least 60, from all sections around Amissville.” ^ Several members rehearsed musical pieces for the proposed county-wide fire department minstrel show under the coaching of Col. J. N. Caperton, in charge, during the meeting. President Thomas Tear also reported that a loan for completion of the firehouse had been negotiated with the Fauquier National Bank of Wairrenton.
