Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Merrill were Mrs. John H. and Mrs. Charles Aylor of Aylor. Mrs. Susie Pullen spent the weekend at her apartment. Mrs. George Wood and John INethers motored to Charlottesville on Monday for their father, J. R. Nethers, who has been a patient at the ^University Hospital for sometime. His condition is said to be satisfactory.
Mr. and Mrs. Denny Hoffman and Mr. and Mrs. Newton Blankenbaker of Madison were Sunday dinner guests of Mr; and Mrs. Stant Weaver. Mrs. Annie Gore Bruce was a week end guest of her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Miller. Sunday night Mr. and Mrs. Miller had as their dinner guest Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce and family, Manley and Dianne. Mr. Bruce’s mother, Mrs. Annie Bruce returned with them after dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J. Turner and family, John and Carolyn Gates had dinner Sunday at Guy’s Restaurant.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Coates of Roanoke were week end guests of Mr. Coates’ sister, Mrs. A. M. Verner and family. In the afternoon they visited other relatives and friends in the county.
