Swimming Courses Begin .

The “Learn To Swim” program for the children (and adults) of Rappahannock County, sponsored by the county Red Cross Chapter, was approved Monday night by the Water Safety Committee.

Howard Camp, Jr., First Aid and Water Safety Field. Representative of Red Cross Eastern Area, met at the home of Miss Louise Schwartz with Mrs. Kathleen Lawrence, Rappahannock County Chairman and the ' Water Safety Committee consisting of Mrs.' John S. Browning of Flint Hill, Mrs. Bruce Bowie of Washingaon and Mrs. Lucio Kilby of Sperryville. George H. Davis, Water Safety Chairman of Rappahannock, was not able to attend the meeting. _ ■

Paul Nichols, Sperryville, who will conduet the classes, was also prseent. Mr. Nichols is a YMCA Aquatic Instructor and the Chapter is very fortunate in having one with his qualifications available to conduct the Swim Program.

Gasses will be conducted on Saturdays only, beginning with Saturday, July 11, and continuing through August 15, making.a total of 6 Saturday classes.
