Asking- of questions, as to why this strike of 'drivers, brings no answers locally. One driver stated that when he delivered his truckload of milk Friday, he left his lunch in the cab of the truck and then was not allowed to return to get it. He had to get somqone to bring him home, as threats kept him from returning with the truck as he had planned. Tales such as this fall on ears that can hardly believe: rural people can't understand why there are no laws and law-enforcement officers to allow a fellow to go about his business as he pleases—certainly return to a truck to gat his lunch, and to drive the truck home again if that is what he had expected to do.
Inquiries furnish the information that Sunbeam Dairy is nonunion, and a general surmise is that some dairy labor-union must be trying to organize the workers.
