Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall of Rose Hill attended the funeral of W. J. Betnor in Manassas on Thursday. On Wednesday, Mrs. B. R. Cox and her grandchildren, Mary Norman and George III saw “Hiawatha” in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Johnston and daughters, Kay and Carolyn were guests over the week end of Mrs. Johnston's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Tanner of Charlottesville.

Mrs. W. L. Keyser reported that “Tiger Valley” was very quiet over the holiday; inhabitants remained at home and no casualties resulted.

Miss Belle Strother of Roanoke College is visiting her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller of Millermead.
