Mr. and Mrs. Janies H. Day and son, James Earl, and Mrs. Boatwright of Richmond were Tuesday dinner guests of Mrs. J. P. Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Day went to Front Royal to enroll their son in Randolph Macon Academy.

Capt. Lock Burford, who is superintendent of the Fairfax Camp, spent the week end with Mrs. Burford at the home of Mrs. Fannie Eastham. , Wilmer Cook was a week-end guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook.

Mrs. Paul Nichols and Mrs. W. A. Gentry attended the “Kick Off” dinner for the Community Concert Association membership drive in Front Royal, Monday, September 20.

Mrs. John R. Moore was a week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore.

Charles Wood and son, Burrill of Blacksburg returned to their home following a visit of some time w’ith Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Wood and Mrs. Dudley Wood, at Sunny Slope. Mrs. Dudley Wood returned with her son for a visit with his family at their home in Blacksburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Neal Reynolds visited their parents over the week end on the occasion of their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Mrs. John R. Moore spent several days last week with Mrs. Walter Krause.

Mrs. P. D. Dennis accompanied her brother Gilbert Tobin to Covington where they were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tobin.

P. D. Dennis spent Sunday in Leesburg with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Cooper.

Capt. William Weiner, who recently undenvent an operation at Walter Reed Hospital, is reported to be recovering satisfactorily.
