Miss Lottie Burton Entertains"At Picnic~
Miss Lottie Burton entertained —at her Annual Picnic for the family and a few close friends, last Sunday, September 19 at her home ^n Washington. A lucious lunch was served buffet style from wide tables placed on the lovely green lawn. _
Among the guests were Mrs. George Burton of Drexel Hill, ton of Milford, Conn., Mrs. D. of Milford, Connecticut, Mrs. D. B. Burton. Miss Phyllis Updike of Washington, D. C. spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Updike.
On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Updike, Miss Phyllis Updike and Miss Lynn Updike visited Mr. Updike’s sister, Miss Angie. Updike, who is quite ill in the Luray Hospital.
Reynolds Jenkins was a Thursday guest of his father and sister, Luther Jenkins and Mrs. Harry Deal. Miss Lynn Updike is spending several days with her school mate, Miss Margaret Ann Estes of Madison. Mrs. Festus Hudson spent the week end . in Washington, D. C. with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Festus Hudson, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Yowell were in Martinsburg, West Va. visiting last week.
