ANNUAL ELECTION AT SCRABBLE SCHOOL
September brings the annual flection of the Junior League officers. This year pupils paying Library and League dues by September 8 were eligible to register and vote by marking a ballot on September 14. All candidates prepared their campaign speeches and gave them to the class on Monday, September 14, the Election Day. . Fifteen pupils went to the poles and voted. The election resulted: President, Howard Frye; Vice President, Marion Carpenter; Secretary, Georgia Timbers; Assistant Secretary, Stoney Frye; Treasurer, McKinley Carpenter; Room Sec., Jean Payton; Room Mother, Mrs. Beulah Wallace. An entertainment committee is a new object to be tried out at our school. The purpose of which is: 1. To let the extra work be done by those pupils who can, do with ease extra work.
2. To locate and learn our school talent .3. To be responsible for the entertainment part of the school 4. That the committee will be limited to 20.
