Festival Nets $85
For F. H. Auxiliary
Eighty-five dollars was cleared by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department, in its latest project, the Fun Festival. Held Saturday night, the Festival drew a large representation from the community. *
The majority of the money was made on the bingo stand. Other profits were on the home made ice cream and on the cakes that were donated by some of Flint Hill’s foremost kitchen connoisseurs.
Clater Twins Feted On 18th Birthday
Misses Jean and Peggy Clater, twin daughters of Mrs.-Maggie Clater, celebrated their 18th birthday on Thursday, September 16 at a party given at the V.F.W. Hall. Games and dancing were enjoyed throughout the evening and refreshments were served at a later hour. Their guests list included Misses Peachy Lyne, Judy Hawkins, Linda Lou Dodson, Elizabeth Smith, Nancy Brown, Margaret Devers, Betty Taylor Bruce, Betty Johnson, Maureen Curry, Alice Dodson, Janet Lillard, Frances Walker, Elizabeth Verner, Faye and Judy Black, Evelyn Miller, Irene Jenkins, Larry Dodson, Bobby Atkins, Ned Johnson, Raymond Jenkins, Ashby, Jenkins, Reid Payne, Tommy Wayland, Robert Settle, Eddie Lillard, Hugh Atkins, Bill Leake, Ernest Clater, Wilson Burke, Kenneth Clater, J. W. Brown, Sonny Anderson ^nd Buddy Devers. Chaperones were Mrs. Clater and Mrs. David Anderson. The honorees received many gifts.
