Rural Exposition at Richmond. Tuesday is “Junior. Day” at the State Fair and high school students from all over the state attend.
Students at R.C.H.S. and at Sperryville saw Unit 80 of the U. S. Society of .Zoology on “The Truth About Snakes” on Monday, September 20. Examples of garter snakes, bull snakes, black snakes, rat snakes and water snakes were shown. Everyone had a chance to see these interesting varieties at close range.
When pupils returned to R.C.H.S. this fall, they found 253 new books in the library. Of these 197 were gifts from the following people: Mrs. John Browning, C. E. Johnson, Jr., J. H. Bettondorf, S. E. Hening, Miss Tenny Gentry, Mrs. Bradley Williams, Mrs. A. M. Hickman and the Culpeper Chapter of the U.D.C. Others were brought with state aid. The high school pupils wish to thank the donors of these books. That they are enjoying them is evident from the number of volumes in circulation.
