it was only a few months ago that the pretty, 19-year-old polio victim from Catawba, was able to breathe without, a respirator or a rocking bed.
The doctors at Medical College of Virginia, where Rowena is being treated, are still mystified at the young lady’s ability to develop her own respiratory method, called “turkey breathing”.
