Leon Greenaway of “Leeway Farm” is going ahead with plans to open a consignment sale at his farm between Washington and Sperryville. Mr. Greenaway stated that the whole thing now hinge3 on whether the people of Rappahannock and adjoining counties want an outlet for their surplus farm machinery and/or anything of value that might be around. He stated that plans now are to hold auction sales whenever enough articles are consigned for sale to make a. sale attractive to prospec_tive buyersfrom this section of the State.
We feel an auction sale of this type is much needed around here. There are so many pieces oi farm machinery, cows, goats, horses ' household furniture, .trucks, etc., ” that could be disposed of by the owners desiring to turn them into cash. So often the very thing you want is taking up much needed space on another farm, and this type of sale will bring buyer and — seller together.
