In Memoriam In memory of Luther S. Jenkins, our beloved husband and father who passed away November 12, 1952. Two years have gone by but not forgotten, And as dawn another year; In our lonely hearts of thinking, Thoughts of him are always near. Human hands worked hard to save him, Prayers and tears seemed in vain, Happy angels came and took him From this weary world of pain. His gentle face, his patient smile, With sadness we recall; He had a kindly word for each, And died beloved by all. Faithful husband and father both true and kind, A truer person we can never find, For all of us he did his best, x We know God gave him rest. —His beloved wife and children. SCHOOL NEWS ~ The Girls’ Varsity Basketball team beat the Senior Girls’ team, 52-15 in a game played November 8. Admission was charged and $20 was collected to be used in buying uniforms for the cheer leaders. * • * Varsity cheer leaders chosen for the season are Misses Jean Clater, Peggy Clater, Frances Walker, Dorothy Williams, Georgia Standish and Virgie Atkins. The Jr. Varsity members are Misses Neville Wood, Ann Yates,Judy Black, Joan Nethers, Joyce Nethers and Carolyn Williams. Alternates are Eleanor Atkins and Judy Hawkins. The girls have been practicing regularly to be ready for the first game. * * * The F.H.A. Chapter of RCHS attended the Daughter of the Stars Federation meeting in Front Royal on November 5. A skit on Family Recreation was presented
