Five Indictments
At Monday Session
The Grand Jury, in session at Washington, Monday, November 8, returned 5 true bills.
Indictments returned included: 1. Pete Atkins, for felony; 2. Ronald Edward Taylor, felony number 1; 3. Ronald Edward Taylor, felony number 2; 4. William Henry Jackson, felony number 1; and 5. William Henry Jackson, felony number 2.
In the case of the Commonwealth versus Dorothy Sharp, warrant for felony, upon plea of guilty, the court found Dorothy Sharp guilty of unlawful wounding and sentenced her to 6 months in jail. The sentence was suspended and the defendant placed on probation.
Sonny Eugene Hunter waived 'indictment and the case was continued to the January term, in the case of the Commonwealth versus Sonny Eugene Hunter, warrant for felony.
In the case of the Commonwealth versus John Deal; an appeal from the -Trial Justice Court, the trial was set for November 17.
The Grand Jury was composed of T. C. Lea, foreman; James Jerdan, Frank Brown, W. L. Yancey and A. H. Buckner.
