13 AMISSV1LLE WOMENGRADUATE IN RED CROSS HOME NURSING CLASS •In case of emergency, Amissville now has a fine group of women to call on for first aid home nursing. They are: Mrs. Mary Faulk, Mrs. Genevieve Brown, Miss Gertrude Gray, Mrs. Estelle Brown, Mrs. E. A. Jordan,' Mrs. Irma Lawson, Miss Alberta Jackson, Mrs. Mary E. Ficklin, Mrs. Annie Laura Ficklin, Mrs. Bernice Gales and Mrs. Hilda Jordan, who recently completed the Red Cross course.
The classes were conducted by Mrs. Carroll Webster of Marshall, Va., two nights a week at the Amissville Colored School. Instructions were given in taking temperatures, pulse and respiration; bed baths bandaging injured limbs and many other essentials in the care of the sick or injured.
