In Beauty (?) Contest
Friday, March25th
A Beauty Contest and .Variety Show will be sponsored jointly by the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department and die V. F. W. Post 1150 this Friday night in the Sperryville Elementary Auditorium. Planned and directed by local or* ganizations, the show will see all of its proceeds going to these two local civic groups.
The curtain will be drawn at 8:15 to the accompaniment of music by Gordon Thornhill’s Band. There will be 3 best looking couple classes, one of the “Teeny Tots,” another of the Middle Size Youngsters and a third, the “Almost Grown-Up Class.” The choosing of Mbs Rappahannock High School, class of 1955, will be one of the highlights of the show. But none can compete with the whistles and cheers that the Firemen and the V. F. W. Beauty Class, will draw from an awed audience.
Between the classes, Miss Nancy Brown will entertain with her graceful hula-hula dance and Michael Moscarella will give m musical selection. Also included in the Variety Show v^ill be a group quartet and a musical selection by the Sperryville Elementary School. following the Beauty Contest and Variety Show, the Ladies Auxiliary to the Sperryville Fire Company will sponsor a dance-tothe-tune of records on the Juke box.
