Pork is the top feature of the USDA plentiful food" list for April. So families can count on the traditional Easter Ham, and also on good supplies of fresh and cured port and pork products at the meat counters. Lard also will be plentiful with prices reflecting the supply.

For fruit sauce or garnish to go with ham or other pork, there’ll be lot of raisins, also those thrifty small size prunes, easy to make tangy and glistening by spicing in sirup. Fresh and processed oranges and grapefruit will continue in plenty.

Other plentiful protein foods on market are: beef, eggs, milk, cheese and other dairy products. — fresh and frozen haddock, and halibut, shrimp and canned tuna.

Those two plentiful canned vegetables—canned snap beans and Canned corn—will still be found in ample stacks on grocery "shelves.
