Rural Life Sunday

Last Sunday a •''-H Rural Life Sunday “Sermon was held in the Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. John D. Divers delivering the sermon to 4-H club members, parents, leaders, and friends. The call to worship was given by Walter B.. Kilby and following the invocation and a hymn, M. R. Bradford, III led the congregation in a Responsive Reading and a prayer followed, made by Peachey Lyne. Prior to the sermon a special hymn was sung by the Flint Hill Seni9r 4-H Club members and leaders making up the choir, with piano accompaniment by Virginia Yates Bradford.

Thirty-five 4-H club members, parents and leaders were present to hear Rev. Divers give an inspiring sermon t>n highlighting the “Heart H” in the 4-H pledge to its spiritual meaning found in our every day living.

Sperryville May Day

Due to large attendance at the Sperryville Elementary School for May Day there will be two preformances given this year. Thursday, May 7 patrons and visitors are invited to attend. Friday, May 8th performance will be for the pupils of the school.

The program starts at 1:00 p.m.
