Mrs. Harriet B. Aylor
Mrs. Harriet Bell Aylor passed away at the home of her niece Mrs. Nfllle Andes of Sperryville, Va. after a short illness. She was born in Rappahannock County in 1864. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lucy Lewis, who was a slave of .Mr. Rhoady and Mrs. Jane Hopkins of Rappahannock County. x'
She leaves to mourn her lcfes, eight nieces, Mrs. Nellie Andes, Mrs, Annie Carter, Sperryville, Mrs. Maggie Brown of Cranford, N J. Mrs. Mabel Logans Sperryville, Miss Mable Holmes, Elizabeth, N. J., Mrs. Sarah Brown, Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Vinda Glasker, Washington, D. C.. and Mrs. Virginia Strother of Griffinsburg, Va.; four nephew’s, Clarence Aylor of Culpeper, Charlie Lewis, Sperryville, and Reginald Aylor of Sperryville, and Alton Aylor of Detroit, Michigan..
The funeral was held Monday April 27, 1959 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with her pastor officiating. Music was by the Shiloh Baptist Church Choir.
Guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. • W. H. Hunter were Miss Willie Hunter and Mr. Cass Okain of Washington, D. C.. Mr. Hunter celebrated his 71st birthday Sunday.
