Though staffed by professionals, the very nature of the eye bank requires support from lay individuals and organizations for its successful operation. Donors are essential. Each person who signs a donor card is doing a service to humanity epitomizing the slogan of the Hunton Memorial Eye Bank—“From Darkness to Light thru Sight.”
In the past two years Lions Clubs of northern and eastern Virginia have contributed over 16 thousand dollars to the Hunton Memorial Eye Bank. At the services of die eye bank expand, greatly increased financial aid will be needed.
The local Eye Bank Chairman is able to furnish detailed information on the operation of the Hunton Memorial Eye Bank. Brochures explaining the work of the Hunton Memorial Eye Bank are available, i as well as donor cards for those who wish to pledge their eyes.
