Betty Kay Kilby has been named 4-H girl of the year in Rappahannock. Betty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kilby and a member of the Spcrryville Senior 4-H Club.

In 1959 Bety was elected President of the County Council and was reelected in I960- She has also held a number of! offices in her own club.
During 1960 Betty became a
member of the jCounty Honor Club and was elected Vice President of that group.]
For her excellent guidance in her club and in the county, Betty received the county medal on Leadership in 1960. !
She has attended 4-H camp and in 1959 attended the 4-H Short Course. She is -making plans to enter the county demonstration contest in Style Dress Revue. ' Wer accomplishments and her plans for the futurej are the reasons for Betty being napied 4-*H'er of the year. j
