Rappk Rescue Squad
Jonas Alther, J\r. joined the Rappahannock Rescue Squad at the meeting held February 27 in the Washington Fire House. Capt. Frank' Huff presided at the meeting with twelve members present.
- The squad decided to have a parade in connection with their carnival which, is set for June 15, 16, 17.
A decision was made to hold regular meetings the first and third Monday of the month. A first aid class is also planned in the near future with date to be announced later. This course will be open to the public.
The following donations to the squad were acknowledged: Mrs. Floyd Compton, Mrs. Emily Miller, Wade H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. Alfred Hickman Mrs. B. R. Cox, Hoover Foster Mrs. Sarah Latham and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Company.
