Garden Club Meets

The Rappahannock Garden Club held its regular meeting for September at Rose Hill, home of Mrs. W. C. Hall. Washington, Wednesday the 20th at 2 p.m.

Mrs. W. R. Williamson gave a talk on “Shrubs, The Lazy Man’s Garden,” indicating various kinds of shrubs which flourish best in each month of the year.

Instead of the customary exhibits, members brought jars of preserves which were presented to Mrs. Dabney Carr.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bywaters of Flint Hill were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bywftters.

Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Woodwafd were Monday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith. Tuesday, Mrs. J. L Walter and Mrs Julia Curtis visited in the Smith home. The Smiths were the guests Tuesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd iHitt and family at Benvenue.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zinn and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Tilley, all of Fairfax were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Zinn.
