OBITUARIES
Mrs. Mattie Alther
Mrs. Mattie Alther of Washington, Va. died December 18 in Page Memorial Hospital. She was 89.
Surviving Mrs. Alther are three daughters, Emma Alther, Mrs. Virgil Pullen and Mrs. Bessie Woodard, all of Sperryville; three sons, George Alther and Jonas Alther, Sperryville and Allie Alther, Washington, Va.
A graveside service was held at 2 p. m. December 20 in Sperryville Cemetery with 'Elder J. Harvey Daily officiating.
Pallbearers were E. M. Estes, Maywood Cornwell, Bruce Brown, Samuel Shillingburg, Marion Bruce and Thomas Taylor.
