Flint Hiil Bank
The Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Flint ilJ’ill met Tuesday and elected John S. Browning President. Mr. Frank Cary was President until his death a few weeks ago.
Mrs. J. Richard Latham was elected to the position of Cashier. W. A. Miller was made a Director.
Other Directors are Mr. Herbert Foster, Mr. John R. Moore, Mr. Louis P. Moore, Mr. Emory Russell, Mr, Miller and Mr. Browning.
Gifts To Fire Co.
And Rescue Squad
Members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Fire Com|pany wetre entertained Monday. ' evening at the home of Mrs, B„ R. Cox. Annual fund presentations were made to the Fire Company and the Rappahannock Rescue Squad. .
During the meeting presided over by Mrs. C. T. Bruce, vice-president, a check for $700 was given to the new Fire Chief, John G. Cargill. A donation of $200 was sent to the rescue squad.
Plans were made for a St. Patrick’s Day Bake Sale on March 16th at the educational building of Washington Baptist Church.
At the close of the meeting the hostess served a salad course.
