Majorettes entered in the parade are the Steppettes, Manassas Park, Warrenton Rebelettes, Americanettes, Cannonettes, Lorton. Annandale, Friendship, Judyettes and Winchesterettes.
A Virginia ham or chicken plate supper will be available at the food stand.
Friday a pony will be given away and Saturday night the grand prize, a 1962 Fairlane Ford, will be awarded. Other prizes are a $25 Savings Bond; walnut ladderback chair and 50 gallons of gasoline. 1
Geraldine Baldwin leads the contest for queen of the carnival with 4500 votes. In second place Cassie Coates and Betty Dwyer are tied with 500 each. Other contestants are Dorothy Dodson with 450; Jeanie Woodard 300; and Janice Dodson, Shirley Atkins, Mary Sue Atkins, Lillian Reeve, and Dorothy Reeve with 25 each.
Donations of pies and cakes will be appreciated and should be brought to the food stand on Thursday evening.
