Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Billy were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell. Monday they were dinner guests of Mrs. A. C. Latham who also had for dinner Teddy Hodge and Wendell Latham. Tuesday guests of the Paynes were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles of Warrenton.
Mrs. Sarah Laham and Misses Nancy and Susan Laham were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart and son Mike in Herndon, who also had as their guest Mrs. C. C. Cockerill. Miss Nancy Latham remained. to spend the week with the Kephaits. Monday afternoon Susan Latham spent the afternoon with Mrs. G. H. Dennis while Mrs. Latham and Sally went to Arlington.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith of Herndon were guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ellmore were Tuesday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Andrew Crosen in Leesburg.
Mrs. Stokes Hostess
At Bridge
Mrs. Allen Stokes entertained two tables of bridge at her home near Sperryville last Friday evening. Beside the hostess, those playing were Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. Robert E. Thompsen, Mrs. Roy Reeve, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, and Mrs. V. 'E. Goddard. Prizes were won by Mrs. Thompsen and Mrs. Goddard. Mrs. Stokes served refreshments to her guests.
