Willis Philip Shuler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis B. Shuler of New Brunswick, N. J., and grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Byrd Eastham of this city, was graduated this June from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, with degrees of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Music and Languages.
Philip is a member of Delta Phi Alpha, German Honor Society and served as its president for 1960-61. His fraternity, Kappa Sigma, in which he held several offices, twice honored him with £holarsh|> awards as thd outstanding student in a group of six universities in the northeast.
While at Rutgers, Philip was a member of the National Society of Scabard and Blade and the Scarlet Key Society of the University. He was active in Student Council, Glee Club, University Choir, Regimental Singers, and Kirkpatrick Choir. His leadership in Kirkpatrick Chapel was recognized by an award enabling him to spend the summer of 1960 in Salesburg. Austria studying music, German and International Policy.
Philip is presently touring Europe with University Chorus, a group of sixty Rutgers men and the Yale Band. They participated in the Bergen Festival and are giving concerts in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland and Germany. After side trips to Paris, The Riviera and Rome the group
