Mayor Dorothy Davis presented her own and the town council's views on a proposed ordinance to levy a tax on motor vehicles in the Town of Washington at the open council meeting held Tuesday night.
The Town would collect the $10 tag fee from residents of the town and the county would collect from the remainder of the county.
