Joseph Shelton Hitt
Joseph Shelton Hitt, 75, died Sunday, February 10, 1963, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. Mr. Hitt, native of Rappahannock was son of late Zachary T. Hitt and Betty Dean Hitt and had made his home for many years with Mr. R. L- Miller of Amissville. His wife, I^ela Brown Hitt predeceased him. He is survived by one son, Floyd Hitt of Amissville and three grandsons.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 12 at 2 p. m., at Forest Grove Baptist Church in Amissville with interment at the cemetery there. The Rev. John Hodge was the officiating minister with funeral arrangements by Geest Funeral Parlors.
Pallbearers were Frank Parker, James Brown, Frank Kinjsey, J. Richard I.atham, Elmer
