Jack E. Leavell
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Feb. 12,1963 at 2 p.m. for Jack Everett Leavell, 30, of Culpeper, at Culpeper National Cemetery with full Military I Honors, the Rev. Edison Clei land officiating.
Mr. Leavell, known as Buck | Leavell, was instantly killed in | an automobile accident on U.S. i Rt. 29, Culpeper, on Feb. 9.
A Korean War veteran, he was discharged from the U. S. Reserves in 1960 and was employed as head mechanic at the Rental Uniform Plant in Culpeper.
Born in Culpeper County, he was the son of Floyd W. Leavell and Mary Ann Barfield Leavell of Culpeper, who survive him. He is also survived by his wife, Gail Scott Leavell, formerly o f Rappahannock County, and a daughter, Janet Gail Leavell, aged 6. Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Paul West, Mrs. Edward West, of Culpeper, and Mrs. John Gentry of Rixeyville; four brothers, Raymond E. Leavell, Richard H. Leavell, of Culpeper, Floyd W. Leavell, Jr. of Wheaton, Md.. and James S. I eavell of Ossoda, Mich.
Pallbearers were Earl Hazel, Norman Martin, Morton Halsey, B. S. Brown, Lewis Nelson, Saul D. Reed, Harold Walker and Bragdon Bunch. Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the service.
