Mrs. A. lee Swindler enter* 5< tsined the WSCS of the Methodist Church on Wednesday evening. Owing to the bad weather there was a small attendance. Those present besides the hostess were Mrs. V. M. Lewis, Mrs. C. C. Brown, Mrs. Roy Reeve and Mrs. J. R. Devera. After the routine business session a social hour was enjoyed with the hostess serving a salad course.
Wiley B. Chapman of Falls Church spent Friday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman.
Allen Brown of Richmond was a guest last week of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown.
P. Lee Thornton returned home Saturday from the University of Virginia Hospital where he received treatment.
Miss Lois Eggers of Arlington accompanied by Buddy Aylor returned home Sunday after spending the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor. Buddy Aylor had spent the week in the Aylor home to be with his mother who is recovering from an operation.
Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily were in Martinsburg for the weekend and were overnight guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Butler. Mrs. Daily will be hostess next Sunday at an annual dinner party celebrating the birthday of Elder Daily. Many guests from out of town are expected to attend.
