Of special interest is the Spring District Meeting on April 11, the countywide meeting on “Growing and Using Herbs’’ on April 23, and the preliminary meeting for those interested in tailoring on Feb. 20 at 9:30 at the Court house.
Following the business, Miss Barbara Jones, Home Agent, led a demonstration on “Buffet Meals,” telling us they were becoming more popular each year and a means of serving more people at one time with less “wear and tear” on the hostess. The place of eating such as at small tables placed elsewhere, standing, or seated with small trays, or standing or seated with plates only is a very important matter to consider when planning the menu. Always keep the serving table attractive, never refill dishes at the table but bring in a full dish to replace one before removing it. Some very simple menus were given for this type of entertaining.
