Charles Eugene Grandy of Arlington, wrecked his I960 DeSota Friday on Ginger Hill just west of Washington. Grandy lost control of the vehicle as he entered a curve, ran off the right side of the highway then veered back across the road, hit the bank and overturned, according to Trooper Paul Dicks. Grandy was not injured. Damage was estimated at about $700. Icy roads accounted for an accident Tuesday morning on Jordans Mountain between Ben Venue and Amissville. Mrs. Sarah Latham, of Amissville, in a 62 Chevrolet, collided with a Ford pick up belonging to Otis 1 Jordan, also of Amissville. j Jordan Was trying to help a Maryland motorist, Wilbur L. Wagner, Jr., who ' was crosswise in the highway. Both vehicles were partially blocking the left lane, and Mrs. Latham was unable to stop or maneuver around them. The highway had not been cleared of the heavy wet snow which was still falling, nor had the treacherous hill been sanded. Trooper Paul Dicks investigated the accident.
