Rappahannock Lions Club held its regular supper meeting Wednesday, February 13, at Hampton Inn, Lion Ralph Rowzie presiding. Lion Rowzie read several communications but local action was deferred until a later date.
Fund raising Chairman J. W. Coates reported on fund raising activities and revealed that there were a few fruit cakes left and these were distributed to Lions present, for sale.
It was noted ^hat the State Director of Selective Service, Capt. Charles L. Kessler, would be present for the March 27th meeting of the Lions Club. Several invitation will be issued to others than Lions to hear what promised to be a most informative program.
Lion Treasurer Paul Nichols reported that funds were needed to pay for eye examinations and glasses already contracted for. vBuy a fruit cake, help someone to see!
