Price support on 1963 crops of corn, grain sorghum, and barley will be available only to growers who participate in the 1963 feed grain program, the local ASC Chairman has announced.
In general, the Chairman explained, feed grain producers will participate in the program by reducing their acreages of one or more of the three crops by at least the minimum 20 percent and devoting such acreages to an approved conserving use. By such participation, farmers not only qualify for the regular pricesupport loans and purchase agreements, but they also earn a diversion payment and an extra price-support payment.
