Jones* Whittier
Miss Terrie Carol Jones and Vernon Lee Whittier, Jr., were married Thursday February 14, in the First Baptist Chapel, Tallahassee, Florida. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Marion Hayes. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Leon Jones of Tallahassee. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lee Whittier, Sr., Vero Beach, Florida. Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Jones entertained the wedding party and guests at a reception in the church parlor.
The couple left for a wedding trip to New Orleans after which they will make their home in Tallahassee. Mrs. Whittier is the sister of Mrs. Dabney J. Carr of Washington, Virginia, and visited her at The Rectory last summer.
Birth Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Miller are receiving congratulations on birth of an 8 lb. 12 oz. girl in the Warren Memorial Hospital last week. Mrs. Miller is the former Miss Sandra Oliver. Mr. Miller is a former resident of Chaster Gap.
