Causes f500 Damage
A run-away vehicle was the cause of an accident Tuesday morning in front of Hamptori Inn and Service Station on Route 211 near Washington. James J. Adams of Johnstown, Pa., left his car, an Edsel, parked at the station. The vehicle, apparently not well braked, rolled back into the highway and struck a passing vehicle, a 1958 Plymouth owned and operated by H. S. Barksdale of Flint Hill. Trooper Ray Dodson, who investigated the collision, estimated damages to the Barksdale car at $500 and to the Edsel at $25. There were no injuries. Mrs. Barksdale and Miss Alma Ricketts were . passengers with Mr. Barksdale.
Mr. Adams is employed by the telephone company and is installing new equipment in the central office at Washington.
