Bcrnie Mahoney, well known newscaster at BIG I K radio station inWarrenton ; will he the master of cerI monies for the “Miss Rappa! hannock” Beauty Contest to | be held in Spcrryville Elementary School on 1- riday, i April 19th at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Mahoney is an outstanding commentator, both personable and charming and has been associated with other radio stations throughout the cast. His personal friends and listening public in Rappahannock are legion and he often has special messages on the eight a.m. broadcast ro local friends by name. T. J. Pillar will furnish piano music du ring the evening and that alone is a big treat, especially his rendition of “Alley Cat”. This week the committees in different areas of the county started accepting entries from sponsors. They are the Messes Mary and Ruby Jenkins for the Washington area, Mrs. L. J. Turner for the Amissville vicinity, Miss Mary Moller Wood for Flint Hill and Huntly, Mrs. Fred Schaefer for Sperryville and Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance for the Woodville area.
