District VIII Meeting
Set for April 11th
The annual District VIII meeting of the Home Demonstration Clubs .of northern Virginia will be held Thursday, April 11, at 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at St. John’s School gymnasium, Warrenton. Invited guests include the State President, Mrs. L. J. Crowgey, Wytheville; State Secretary, Mrs. David Kennedy, Richmond; District Agent, Miss Eva Minix, of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg; and Assistant Director of Extension, Miss Lucy Blake,, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg.
Installation of officers for 1963-1964 “will take place during the morning business j session. Mrs. Carla Williams, Director of Consumer Programs, Food and Drug Administration, Washington. D. C. will speak to the group on “The Importance of Pure Foods and Drugs". The afternoon schedule includes entertainment by Mrs. Barbara Stinson, of Warrenton, who will present a program of Music. Mrs. Stinson is well known in the Warrenton area for her musical accomplishments and has made radio and Television appearances. Also included on the program will be a commentary using colored slides on “A Visit To Blair House" by: Miss Camilla Moody Payne, Interior Decorator for the Blair House of Washington, D. C.
