A farmer near here died the other day. He left a young widow and one teenage daughter. This man had sufficient insurance to bury him, but little else. They had farmed rented land and lived in a rented house.The survivors will have to be assisted by other relatives for a while. But there will be some assured income to the family in the form of Social Security payments.
